I haven’t had very much time for the last couple years to keep up with the various blogs and other online sites that I like, but one of the ones I’ve made sure to keep up with is boingboing.org. It’s a group blog, and I always find posts that are weird, funny, profound, or interesting.
I have to admit, I don’t really like their recent format change, I find it more annoying and difficult to navigate than helpful, but I’ve like the blog and have been reading it for so long, I’m willing to give it a chance. At least for now.
I like all of the contributors to Boing Boing, but my favorite posts are by Cory Doctorow. He’s been watching and posting about all the fighting, both nationally and internationally, surrounding copyright and digital rights management; I find his posts interesting, and I (mostly) agree with his point of view about it. I also really like the book reviews he does on a semi-regular basis. I haven’t been able to get my hands on every book that he’s recommended, and admittedly, there have been a few that don’t sound that interesting to me, but the ones I’ve managed to read have been very worth reading.
So check it out. And in the meantime, here’s the next installment of Changeling.
P.S. I had a request for character descriptions, for the purpose of doing fan art for Changeling. In the “Fiction” menu button on the left, you’ll find links to all the fiction pieces I’ve posted so far, and I’ve added a page of character descriptions of the main characters of the story. If anyone is interested in doing some art based on Changeling, I’d love to see it.
